Wynta Amor is a 7-year-old girl from Merrick, Long Island. When protests began in her neighborhood, she and her family took to the streets. Small yet mighty, she quickly became a protest leader, leading thousands as she cried "No justice, no peace!" (watch the video here).
We had the honor of chatting with her about why this fight is important to her:
We've been fighting for freedom since slavery. It's time to let people know that we have to be equal....It feels good to have a voice because people need to know that Black Lives Matter.
When Wynta isn't fighting for social justice she likes to read books, play with her toys, draw, and make clothing for her dolls.
